Lee James Pantas
Originally from Greenwich, Connecticut, I have lived in the Asheville North Carolina area since 1989. I have a Master's degree in Ecology from the University of Vermont, and have worked as a research scientist, military officer, realtor, lecturer, painter and illustrator. I have also lived in Vermont, Georgia, Korea, Brazil, Colorado and Connecticut before settling down in beautiful Western North Carolina. One of my passions in life is coaching track and field and I am the hurdles coach for A.C. Reynolds High School team and the Asheville Lightning Junior Olympics Team.
During my career as a graphic artist, I completed more than 2,000 commissioned pen and ink drawings of private homes, buildings and churches. Distinguished clients include Former President and Mrs. George Bush Sr., Governor and Mrs. James B. Hunt Jr., United States Ambassador and White House Chief of Staff of Protocol Joseph Verner Reed, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Holden, George Sanders, the Estate of Guy Lombardo and well-known golf course designer Tom Fazio.
I am also a painter.
