Don Harris is a Western North Carolina native, author, artist and former college administrator. He began carving Santa Clauses in 1990 as a hobby and outlet for his creative spirit. Since then, he has produced more than 300 of these one of a kind sculptures out of American Linden, also known as basswood. His creations now belong in collections across the South and much of the rest of the nation. 

 

Each Santa is signed, dated and numbered. They will never be reproduced as commercial molds and are destined to become family heirlooms.
