Alta started oil painting at age 11 under the instruction of renowned artist Locke Elliotte Wallace at his studio in Crystal City, Va. She loves using bright vibrant colors which she achieves with acrylic but also enjoys using oil as a medium, which was her first love.

She loves painting old barns and mountains, fall scenes or anything that shows natures beauty.
